Creating physical places for education and research translating into social benefit are at the core of TUFF’s mission. Our most recent project at Rosalind Franklin University (RFU), a new Innovation and Research Park, has started construction with the TUFF mission as its North Star. A four-story, 100,000 square-foot addition to the RFU campus in North Chicago, it will feature specialized laboratories as well as conferencing and office space for faculty researchers and educators, commercial startups, and national and international healthcare and life science companies. Once complete, academic and industry scientists and entrepreneurs will work together to translate the university’s biomedical research into new treatments and education platforms.
