Our most recent project at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science was identified as one of the driving factors helping Chicago to secure recognition as a Top 10 region nurturing biopharma. The area was recognized for NIH funding (713 awards totaling $252.5 million), lab space (3.5 million square feet) and patents (1,143). Additionally, the Chicago Biomedical Consortium, was created supporting collaboration among researchers at intuitions such as Northwestern University, The University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
