Cobb County Research Campus Renovations Project Continues on Schedule

March 29, 2011

Work continues on schedule for the Cobb County Research Campus Renovation Project. The renovation project broke ground in August 2010 and is expected to be complete by August 2011. The project scope includes renovations to HVAC, piping, bathrooms, and life safety systems in addition to aesthetical enhancements.

TUFF originally acquired the Cobb County Research Campus in 1982 from Lockheed Martin for the benefit of Georgia Tech in order to provide facilities to execute government defense contracts.  Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is the Georgia Tech entity which has occupied the space since inception. Since 1982, GTRI has grown significantly in staff, budget, and program; moreover, these critical facility infrastructure renovations will prove to be instrumental in the continued success for GTRI.

TUFF would like to thank Brasfield Gorrie, Gateway Development Services, Griffith Engineering, as well as all the subcontractors and workers, for their continued strong and consistent work efforts.
