Georgia Institute of Technology - Centennial Research Building

In 1982, Georgia Tech wanted to expand its research capacity, but they did not have the space to do it.  The President of Georgia Tech approached three alumni to find a new way to finance the construction of a new building. From this effort, TUFF was created to solve this classic dilemma.

TUFF purchased land adjacent to the Georgia Tech campus and financed the Centennial Research Building.  TUFF invested $17 million from the issuance of tax-exempt bonds and closely managed the construction of the facility.  Upon project completion, the facility was occupied by the Georgia Tech Research Institute.

The 6-story, 200,000 square foot facility has space for electronic research and other high-security research activities.
