University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Student Housing

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) was in need of additional student housing. UTC assembled a development team but lacked the capability to finance the project.  TUFF was asked to make the investment and execute the project to the exact design specifications of the University.  Through the issuance of $18 million in tax-exempt bonds, TUFF financed the project, engaged the developer, and oversaw the development process.

The 461 bed housing complex features multiple garden style apartments.  In 2001, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Foundation was able to repurchase the student housing facilities from TUFF.
