Last week, leaders from Atlanta’s tech and innovation ecosystem gathered to mark the Biltmore Innovation Center’s first anniversary as an initiative spurred by the leadership of the Georgia Tech Foundation.

Attendees also witnessed the unveiling of plans for upcoming construction on improvements to the building. Designed to further connect with Tech Square, promote interaction within the building, and modernize amenities, these projects will be underway soon to support the Biltmore’s continued evolution into a startup and innovation hub. The proposed updates aim to enhance functionality and flow while preserving the historic hotel’s character and charm.

The program included remarks from Bird Blitch, a successful technology entrepreneur who currently chairs the real estate committee of the Georgia Tech Foundation (owner of the Biltmore Innovation Center), and from Collaborative Real Estate’s CEO, David Tyndall, whose team oversees the day-to-day operations of the Biltmore and ongoing efforts to activate the building.  Leaders from CREATE-X and Askari also shared perspectives on their work and presence at the Biltmore.

The event concluded with a look ahead to 2026, as Tyndall outlined what’s next for the Biltmore Innovation Center. Following the program, guests had the opportunity to tour the updated spaces with leaders of the Biltmore Innovation Center initiatives.
