Florida Tech receives gift of $1 million from TUFF

TUFF continued a long history of support for Florida Tech with a recent gift of $1 million to ensure the growth and stability of the institution. This timely contribution will help Florida Tech continue to fulfill its mission at the highest level. TUFF’s support of the institution during Covid-19 is reminiscent of the work done at Florida Tech during the height of the financial crisis. Unable to secure permanent financing due to the crisis, TUFF responded by investing $28 million of its own money in a much-needed campus expansion. When all other developments had stopped nationwide, TUFF developed Florida Tech’s Harris Village Student Housing, Panther Dining Hall [pictured], the Aquatic Center, and the Harris Center for Science and Engineering. TUFF enables its education and research partners to succeed, even during the most unlikely times. According to TUFF CEO Kevin Byrne, the $1 million gift demonstrates how strongly TUFF values the mission of the university and its impact both nationally and internationally.
