Louisiana State University Advances Research District Vision

The University Financing Foundation (TUFF) and its development partner, Gateway Development and Facility Services (GDFS), work alongside major research universities to leverage innovation assets that expand the institution’s research enterprise. Facilities like the Louisiana Emerging Technologies Center (LETC), located on the LSU Campus in Baton Rouge, are ideal destinations for industry partners to co-locate with university researchers and top students. In alignment with the highly successful LSU Innovation Park, which has been leasing to industry partners for years on South Campus, the LETC represents another key piece of the Baton Rouge innovation ecosystem. The LSU administration turned to TUFF and GDFS for its leadership and expertise in evaluating the entire ecosystem as a part of its effort to recruit tenants that align with the Institution’s mission. A visit from the local media shows the vision for the LETC and highlights the benefits of this unique piece of real estate. See the interview with GDFS Director, Dominic Costanza, and learn more about the plans for LSU’s Research District.
