The University Financing Foundation has played a crucial role in the expansion of Georgia Tech’s research enterprise since its creation in 1982. In that role TUFF has helped foster the kind of collaboration that is taking place between Georgia Tech and Novelis, a world leader in aluminum sheet products, technologies, and recycling. Through research sponsorships, Tech and Novelis have had a long-standing relationship, but a $2.5 million grant to establish the Novelis Innovation Hub takes the relationship to the next level.
