In preparation for a dynamic Summer 2023 Intern season, TUFF cast a wider net this year when considering schools and candidates to pursue, receiving over 60 resumes from 11 schools and interviewing 20 promising candidates. As a result, TUFF is excited to welcome three talented students to this summer’s program.

Sahana Solipuram (left) is a rising senior at the University of Georgia, pursuing a major in Finance and Management Information Systems (MIS) with a minor in Public Health.  She has been captivated by the dynamic nature of these fields and their potential to create a positive impact on society. This unique combination of curriculum is why Sahana is “incredibly excited to be interning at TUFF. This opportunity allows me to combine my interests in finance, technology, and public health in a meaningful way. As an intern here, I have the chance to apply my knowledge of financial strategies and data analysis while also understanding the importance of financial stability within the higher education sector.”

Nhi Ngo (middle) previously graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2022, and is currently a rising senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology where she is majoring in Business Administration with an Accounting concentration. Her academic interests include health sciences and financial reporting. “I am excited to be a TUFF intern due to the company’s expertise in a wide range of industries, and commitment to furthering institutional research.”

Joseph Covington (right) is a rising senior at Georgia State University’s Honors College, J. Mack Robinson College of Business, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. With an entrepreneurial background and plans to pursue a career in wealth management after graduation, Joseph shares that he “joined TUFF to start my career in the world of business and finance, but when I got here, it was so much more than I expected. TUFF has a community atmosphere where growth and learning are fostered, and they offer such a unique array of projects. In the short time I have been here I have gained direct exposure to every corner of the business, while helping a good cause and feeling great about what we do.”

TUFF has already benefited from the curiosity and contributions of this productive trio in just a few short weeks, and is looking forward to advancing their career development journey over the summer months to come.
