Joseph Lau joined TUFF in September 2025 as Assistant Vice President of Real Estate.
His role focuses on overseeing real estate operations for development initiatives, implementing risk controls, and driving process improvements that enhance transparency, compliance, and efficiency across TUFF’s portfolio.
Joseph brings over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, and real estate development. From his first role in restaurant management to his most recent positions in finance and project accounting, his diverse background has shaped him into a versatile and results-driven leader.
Throughout his career, Joseph has supported and managed projects totaling hundreds of millions of dollars in development value, including complex commercial, institutional, and airport facilities. His work has consistently focused on aligning financial outcomes with client expectations while maintaining a disciplined approach to risk management and long-term value creation. He has also navigated complex legislation around airport regulations and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance while advancing strategic initiatives.
Before joining TUFF, Joseph held senior finance roles within the construction and airport sector, where he implemented project-level accounting frameworks, stabilized cross-functional teams, and helped organizations navigate the post-COVID landscape in construction and airport development.
Joseph earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate from Georgia State University and an Executive MBA from Georgia State. In his spare time, he is an avid world traveler and automotive enthusiast.
